Exodus is the second book of the Bible, and the second part of the Pentateuch. It records God’s deliverance of the Israelites from slavery in Egypt under the guidance of Moses.
Authorship and Date
Exodus has been traditionally been assigned to Moses as the author. The disciples (John 1:45), Paul (Rom 10:5), and Jesus (Mark 7:10) testified to Mosaic authorship as well. It was written in around 1400 B.C.
